Meet the Artist Collection Fall 2019
We’ve collaborated with three female artists from around the world to bring you an original collection of tees, tanks, and our first line of cozy sweatshirts. We’re having a lot of fun creating surf + skate inspired, eco-friendly apparel, but the best part is working with the women behind the designs.
Fall 19 Collection
Claudie, from Montreal, Canada, is the artist behind our We Can Surf It t-shirt design. Claudie’s art is inspired by her lifestyle and interests in surfing, skateboarding, traveling, and road tripping. She takes a minimalist approach to her designs and expresses her views on social, societal, and political issues through her art. In other words, she’s making waves with her drawings!
We enjoy throwing on this slightly oversized tee for a cute comfy-casual day, or even styled with fun shorts and hat, like our babe Kelsey pictured. For the women pushing the boundaries in surfing; being fearless in the water; exploring new waves around the world or surfing the big sets locally - this shirt is made for you!
We love surfing more than anything, even diamonds. Through our collaboration with artist Lydia Manter, we produced the original design, Surfboards > Diamonds, for every woman to express her love & loyalty for the sport. As an artist and entrepreneur, Lydia finds artistic inspiration from her environment and community in Maui, Hawaii. Surfing is her seven year-old passion and is a central theme in many of her drawings.
Lydia’s original design is handprinted on a crop tee, available in black our grey, and a cozy pullover sweatshirt, available in pink or grey. When you’re by the coast, it’s all about layering, especially during the fall and winter months. Our pullover is perfect to layer over a tank, tee, or bikini to keep you cozy during the brisk mornings and evenings. We hope it becomes one of your staples this fall.
Naomi is the artist behind the original art, Toasted. “Toasted” describes how we feel after catching waves all summer long in the sun - it’s the best way to feel! Now the days are becoming shorter and water temps are dropping with Fall around the corner, but Naomi’s Toasted design will keep the feeling with you all year long.
Naomi drew Toasted inspired by feminine grace and natural elegance. It’s minimal, neo-vintage, and handprinted on a tank or pullover, available in white or pink. This sleek, minimalist design can be worn casually with ripped Levi shorts and sandals, high waisted jeans and converse, or tossed over your bikini!
