My name is Elena and I’m an artist.
Born in Russia, 1991. Based in Portugal & Bali & Morocco
We are art.
I believe that we were born with the heart full of love and power to create. Nothing happens for nothing. There is a spirit of the universe which helps you to be on your own path.
I believe in the beauty of humanity, I believe in the grace and kindness of every person.
Spending hours on the beach, feeling like you are related to the ocean bring me a strong vision of respecting Mother Nature, taking care and giving back as much as you can. The ocean is absolutely priceless connection with a source of energy, and inspiration. Ocean makes me feel now, in this moment, feel so kind, feel love.
By playing with the light and colors I form prints, which in different ways combine to the ocean and surfing, show the beauty of simple things in life, present harmony, calmness atmosphere and unique soul.
To be creative I have to feel my Flow, which is an essential part of my life. It gives me the feeling of being the best part of myself, pure and clean. And it’s real, unique and beautiful. My limitless energy.
I feel the unconditional love to the local, the small-scale, the authentic, whatever is made out by caring.
What inspires the art that you create?
Everything around me! Surrounding myself with the most inspiring, kind and lovely human beings, beautiful things around, ocean and nature!
But this is just the tip... I believe that inspiration comes from inside of you, not outside. It’s a magic moment when you are blessed and be able to express yourself in different media!
What is the biggest challenge you face as an artist/entrepreneur?
Our biggest challenge we could face is our beautiful and unpredictable life)
When did you start surfing?
Probably 7 years ago)
Longboard or shortboard?
Most likely long, but you never know...You just constantly adapting to the conditions you are in)
Dawn patrol or sunset surf?
None... Just the time, when you feel it’s good for you)
Where is your favorite surf break?
Love some breaks in Peniche, Portugal
Morocco, Imsouane (Bay)
And of course Bali perfect breaks!
